Established in 1929 by the innovative Ayurvedic physician Pappy Vaidyar, Bipha Drug Laboratories emerged from a recognized need for authentic Ayurvedic treatments and formulations. Located in Ochira, a small village in South Kerala, the institution was dedicated to meeting the growing demand for quality Ayurvedic care.

Over the decades, both Pappy Vaidyar and his pharmacy gained a reputation for their unwavering commitment to excellence in Ayurvedic treatment. As patient needs increased, Bipha Drug Laboratories relocated from Erattupetta to Kottayam, ultimately settling at its current headquarters in Kalarickal Bazaar during the 1930s to better serve the population of Central Travancore.

Pappy Vaidyar's vision and expertise paved the way for the creation of numerous unique formulations and innovative processing techniques. This forward-thinking approach positioned Bipha Drug Laboratories at the forefront of the Ayurvedic patent sector, allowing the pharmacy to develop and refine formulations well ahead of their widespread recognition in the field.
